Stop Struggling. Start Living.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Adults
Struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, sleep issues, chronic pain, or social disconnection doesn’t mean you’re broken — it means you’re human. When life gets hard, it’s easy to get stuck in struggle or disconnected from what matters most. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) offers a way to move forward with greater presence, purpose, and flexibility — even in the face of pain.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a compassionate, evidence-based approach that helps adults navigate emotional and physical pain, stress, sleep issues, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, social disconnection, and life transitions by building psychological flexibility—the ability to be present, open, and guided by what matters most.
Rather than trying to eliminate difficult thoughts or feelings, ACT supports you in turning toward your inner experience with curiosity and care. Through mindfulness, values clarification, and committed action, ACT helps you develop a different relationship with emotional or physical pain—one that no longer dictates your choices or keeps you stuck.
In individual ACT therapy, we’ll work together to:
Identify what truly matters to you—your values, relationships, and priorities
Gently explore the internal struggles that are getting in the way (e.g., anxiety, self-doubt, shame, unwanted and intrusive thoughts, memories, painful physical sensations)
Learn to create distance from unhelpful thoughts and make space for painful emotions without being overwhelmed
Take committed, values-based action—even in the presence of uncertainty or discomfort
ACT is especially effective for adults facing stress, transitions, burnout, health issues, anxiety, depression, sleep issues, and relationship challenges. It’s a therapy that meets you where you are, honors your humanity, and supports growth that is meaningful and sustainable. ACT is an ACTive, experiential therapy — if you want to learn how to swim, you have to get in the pool!
